ISLETON, Calif. (KCRA) —
A water rescue is underway after a man and a child fell off a boat near Isleton and into the San Joaquin River on Friday.
The 1-year-old child has been found and is in critical condition, but the man is still missing, officials said.
A child wearing a life jacket fell off the boat at around 11:30 a.m., and the child's father, who did not have a life jacket, jumped in after the 1-year-old, according to the Sacramento County Sheriff's Office.
Officials said that the man was on the boat with his three children when one of them fell into the river. The other two children, between the ages of 6 and 8, called authorities after their father jumped in after the 1-year-old child.
