11 pound bass @ Clear Lake

Post by David VanCleave »

My son caught this 11 pounder on Clear Lake Friday March 29th. What’s even more amazing is that he had a stroke when he was born and can only use one hand for fishing. His rods are customized to fit a harness he wears on his chest. #fishofalifetime

My congrats also!! Not as many of those toads over 10 lbs as there used to be. A 10+ is very special these days!! I have seen what you could do when another angler in my boat landing bass after bass with one arm (not an 11 pounder!!). I took him out during one of the old BBAC tournaments, many years ago. He only had the use on one hand/arm, but it didn't slow him down. It was amazing to see how well he could do - casting, setting the hook, etc. Much respect for folks who don't let a physical issue stop them from participating in our great sport!
