WTB Shimano Expride A rods

Post by tailhook »

Seeking a couple of the US Expride rods (2017?), they seem to be getting phased out. I broke my 7' 3" heavy casting (snapped it off in a car door! :x ) and also looking for a spare 6' 10" med-lt spinning.

Open to a fair price, or do a local trade - I have some excellent condition Dobyns, Loomis and St. Croix rods I'm willing to part with.

Where did you hear or why do you say they may be getting phased out? I noticed that almost all models are backordered on Tacklewarehouse. Figured they were just super popular. LOL

Sorry, didn't mean to pass that off as fact...but I figured they've been out for a few years now so Shimano might be cycling them out and replacing them with something new. A couple of sites showed them as permanently out of stock or discontinued too.

No worries. I saw someone post something similar on another group. I was hoping to pickup an Expride too, but they're sold out on Tackle.
