Sign up at Clearlake Bait and Tackle Friday from 3:00 to 6:00 pm. Saturday from 5:30 am to 6:30 am. We will have boat check in the morning starting at 5:30 am. Remember all fish must be alive to be weighed in. The water temp is reaching the mid 70's in the afternoon and I would recommend keeping your aerators running and change the water often.
The crappie bite is red hot (so is the bass) Fished yesterday and had 50 bass and 50 plus crappie. The crappie and bass are shallow from 6 inches to 8 feet. The morning bite is on bobbers and then later in the day start swimming a jig. Let the jig free fall on a slack line and wait for the thump.
Remember the kid's event we are also hosting. If you can't make it out to the pro event take your kid fishing. We are awarding 15 rods and reels and miscellaneous prizes to the top 15 future pro anglers.
