I dunno why but theres no bass around here. Theres a pond by Tesla thats said to hold bass. But Ive never fished it. Topaz lake has some awesome smallies in it but its a hour away from Reno. Beware I was out there a few days ago and its a ZOO! No more fishing for me until the holiday week is over. If you go just take a chair and video camera for the ramp. Watch these guys try and back in boats. Ive offered to help but always get turned down. So I just watch and laugh. The 4th isnt the weekend to learn how to back a boat down a ramp.

Thanks for the replies!

Did some research and we'll be just 8miles from Washoe Resevoir/Lake so we will give that a shot from the bank as i was considering towing the boat up there but with the 4th of July holiday probably best to do like what was suggested and just sit and watch the show at the boat ramp rather then be in the middle of the chaos LOL!

Guess they have white bass and hybrid stripers and some pan fish wish us luck....

Heard good stuff about Pyramid but it's north about 45 mins so a bit too far

There's a pretty cool place called the Sparks Marina and it has trout, bass, catfish, and carp in it.

We had a BIG kill off and the bass are not there. You can catch trout as they plant them. If you're not catching anything you can walk next door to scheels for some fun.

That sucks to hear man it's been a while since I've been there. Hopefully it rebounds for you guys though because that is a pretty cool little lake.
