The Sonoma County Belly Boat Bass Club (SCBBBC) is set to kick off their 37th. season on Lake Sonoma on 2/22/2020. Club President Rich Caro reported that he is excited to get the season started and is looking forward to another year of great camaraderie and fun on the water.
The SCBBC is open to all belly boat, kick boat and kayak anglers. All boats must be fin or paddle powered, no pedals or motors are allowed. Each event will have a 5 fish limit (Clear Lake events 4 fish limit) and the fish must be at least 12 inches in length. Each boat must be equipped a livewell to keep the fish healthy for weigh ins at the end of the day. Livewell requirements are listed on their website.
Each angler will be required to have a current BASS membership and will need to purchase an annual club membership for $60. The membership helps to offset the cost of running the tournaments. Entry fees are $30 per event with $5 big fish and jackpot options. In addition to cash payout, plaques will be awarded to the top 3 places.
After the regular season events have concluded and points have been tallied, the top 1/3 of anglers will advance to the Tournament of Champions (TOC). In addition to the cash payout and plaques, hotel rooms and dinner the night before the big tournament are included as an end of year bonus for the anglers.
