Swimbait Hook Upgrade
Swimbait Hook Upgrade
The swimbait bite will be picking up here shortly, do not forget to upgrade your hooks. Pictured here is a 10in Triple Trout with the Owner Single Replacement Hooks (4102-179) in the Zo Wire 3x in the 7/0 size. Tough enough to tackle the biggest fish you can throw at them.

Re: Swimbait Hook Upgrade
I have searched a lot and haven't found much of any information about putting online singles on bigger hard baits. I don't like the damage that trebles do to fish. How have you found your hookup to land ratio on the singles? I put them on my normal sized baits and like them. However, I'm just jumping into swimbait fishing with an Swaver 168 and Gantarel and would love to be running singles instead.
I also see that this bait is rigged with both hooks facing forward rather than the traditional one front ward one backward. Is that the preferred method for big hardbaits?
