Hds 8 gen 2 problem

Hello I have a question regarding side scan on my hds gen 2 unit. It's always set to view 60ft and regardless of if I try to view less or more. It just go right back to 60ft. If I'm graphing around and say bump it to 100 it goes there just long enough to say 100' then switches right back to 60'. How do I get it to stay at what I'm setting it at?

That is odd. I would start with doing an update to the unit on Lowrance.com there are YouTube videos to guide you.

Yea i could try that. Its version 2.1 so definitely not updated

Seems from researching alot of ppl were un happy with the 4.0 update and like the 2.5.
Would anybody explain why? Should I do the 4.0 or find the 2.5v.
I use a helix 10 up front linked to ultrex.
The lowrance unit is at console with navionics platinum+

Still same thing. 60' off each side cant go less cant go more.
