NOTICE; With pretty much the entire nation on lockdown, we have been able to stay open as a essential business with the deli and fuel (and of course tackle is a necessity!!)Calaveras Health department issued the final blow to our business and we will be closing the doors Sunday March 29 at 2:00. As directed by the health dept we are no longer able to sell any bait, fish, or tackle effective immediately. Also on the chopping block, there will be no recreational boating as well as camping at New Melones Lake. The Bureau of Reclamation will be shutting down the park at the end of day Sunday. Stay strong, as soon as everyone starts listening and complying the sooner we will all be up and running.

Lake Amador Resort

FACILITY UPDATE:

FISHING IS STILL PERMITTED...for now...

We continue to be hit with blows from Amador County Public Health and as of 3/27/2020 all “short term lodging” has been banned in Amador County.
What this means?
We are not permitted to allow any more camping at our facility an we won’t be taking any more overnight stays until this whole COVID-19 quarantine is lifted which could be weeks or months...SO NO CAMPING!

Here’s what hasn’t been tyrannically stripped from us:

***FISHING —OK
***BOAT LAUNCH—-OK
***DISC GOLF—-OK
***GENERAL STORE—-OPEN
***TACKLE SHOP—-OPEN
***CAFE—-NOT SERVING (too slow to keep open)

IF YOU WANT TO KEEP US OPEN HELP US FIGHT FOR FISHING! Its your constitutional right to fish and they shouldn’t be allowed to take that from you no matter the circumstance! It is written in our State Constitution that they can under no circumstance take your right to fish away!

I bet some freedoms will be lost for good

Sorry that’s why the 1st thing they do is issue a state of emergency. This allows them to override the constitution & do what ever they think is right to protect us. Including mobilizing the NG if they decide it’s necessary.

What is the problem if one drove their own boat, alone in the vehicle, paid their fee to the "orange ranger deposit station or other collection box, launched, fished, took out, and drove home. Probably only seeing a few, cold, bass fishermen from a distance. One can just shout to another angler: "How did you do?" No need to get anywhere near other people. Probably wouldn't be the truth anyway.

I know the problem - liability! Only in California!

The Problem is they do not like us out on the lakes. If you are over 35 and enjoy the outdoors you have seen the many lands that have been closed and the many restrictions put on us.
The virus is allowing them to take our freedoms. Nothing makes us feel as free as being on a wide open lake.
It will be interesting to see what we never get back and what crap they implement.
Not only do they search your boat for a drop of water now they will want medical records and stick a thermometer up your a••

Unless you live by that certain body of water and go look for yourself it hard to be sure with out a reasonable doubt. A lot of gray area whereas the park itself might be closed like that notice said but the boat ramp(s) is still open. Earliest I can look at oroville is tues or Wed.

Looks like all State run lakes are closed now too. Including San Luis Reservoir, Los Banos Creek, and O'Niel Forebay. Our local lake, Millerton, closed after yesterday.

New Melones- Calaveras County all facilities CLOSED. Tuolumne County some facilities OPEN, including Boat Launches and Day Use per attached news article:
