Southern Cali Lakes Open for Launching?

Post by callwakeup »

is there a consolidated list that lives somewhere that shows which So. Cal lakes re open for launching at this time?
Without making 20 phone calls- i know for sure Castiac and DVL. I had heard Perris is open. Any others?
And; at DVL the Algae bloom was all consuming; id never seen water to chocolatie - typically how long will that condition last?

thanks all

Rody Wynn caught a nice one out of DVL earlier this week. #RUNIT

Also sorry im not sure what SoCal Lakes are open, I believe Todd Woods was on Puddingstone last week. Perhaps one call to Rick Grover at Anglers Marine would work?

Perris is open, but limited to 200 boats a day, not including Kayaks/float tubes. Silverwood should be open under similar guide lines since both are state parks. Puddingstone is open as is Elsinore and DVL. Otay, Santee, Henshaw are all open from what I have seen.

No algae problems at DVL that I have seen. It may return but the lake is starting to stratify and they are not bringing water in so any significant upwelling which feeds the blooms shouldn't be an issue.
