Fiberglass Repair

Post by cdrake »

Ran up on some rocks and need fiberglass work, any recommendations in the Sacramento area?

I heard C&C Marine in Modesto does it, but has anyone had any experience with them and fiberglass (I know they do great mechanical work)?

I had C&C Marine "glass shop" repair a few deep scratches tn 3-color gelcoat into the fiberglass.
Did an excellent job.
Before they did the work, I had a quote from highly regarded "Smooth as Glass" in Riverbank, and the numbers were very close.

Smooth As Glass. Used them 2x. It’s what they do. You’ll be satisfied.

Bohner boats in Madera now have a fiberglass shop, they just finished mine and were very respectable and good quality. I would go there again without hesitation.

C&C Modesto replaced the transom on my 97 Champ in January. Couldn't be happier. Price was fair and Jason ( there glass guy ) got it done in the time frame quoted.

Just hopping on this thread hoping to get some more info. So I need some fiberglass work on my Champion. The bow eye is starting to rip out cracking the fiberglass around it. And the is some damage at the back part of the hull as well. Does anyone have any good recommendations for fiberglass shops in the Fresno area? Or should I just go up north to a better reputable shop? I called Smooth as Glass and the area a month wait to even give a quote on the damage. Is it really worth the wait?
