Well I finally did it

Post by jiggin4bass »

52 years I've been riding in boats and I never fell out once. But today I didn't have my PFD on and I fell out on the cement made a good step getting out but my foot didn't turn and out I went. I was installing new graph and trolling motor
I got it all done but it just took a tad longer after my fall.

Hope you're OK! My balance seems to be about 1/2 of what it was not long ago!

Most falls out of a boat onto concrete are going to result in injuries so you got lucky. How are you feeling today? Can you even get out of bed?

When you're in your 20's and this happens you pick yourself up unscathed and laugh .
Later in your 30's you get off the ground and usually the only thing hurt is your pride .
Next in your 40's it takes a minute laying on the ground to assess if you're actually injured or not and when you get up you're greeted with aches and pains .

Later yet 50's + ............ (it only gets worse from here )

MT that was me but I went out facing the front of the boat and I didn't get up for 3 or 4 minutes when I open my eyes I got a good look at the bottom of my boat it looks pretty good no dings. I had to get help to get up and I'm still in pretty good shape but that cement is really hard. I have the house painted inside and new flooring installed the guys saw me fall out and rush too help me I think they were worried if something happen to me they might not get payed. LOL
