HDS 7 gen 3 not giving correct transducer option

My front Unit is an HDS 7 gen 3, it is updated to most current software. It has the spotlight scan transducer. The unit itself has been freezing up on me, have gotten it to work with restarts on the water. The unit is not giving me an option for spotlight scan when trying to choose the correct transducer. It is out of warranty and lowarance has given me repair options, none of which I really like cause I’m eating the cost on something that I believe to be a system error. Anyways I’m just curious if anyone else has run into this issue before? If so, was it solved and how so? Thanks
