FPT Berryessa season opener relocated

All anglers...

Unfortunately, we must announce that the FPT’s 19th season opener – scheduled for Lake Berryessa on March 27th has been forced to be relocated to another venue, due to circumstances out of our control.

In spite of the fact that all of Napa County has opened up, and is now it the “RED” tier group, the Bureau of Reclamation is not responding to our requests to proceed with the event, which leaves us no other choice but to relocate this event to the only other viable venue – which is the California Delta, going out of Ladd’s Marina.

But there are TWO pieces of good news….

1) the date for the event will remain the same - March 27th, and 2) the bite on the California delta - as proven by the huge limits brought in at the recent FPT Classic event, has been nothing short of incredible, making the California delta somewhere you want to be right now!
These are the kind of fish the delta can produce in March!

Again, we sincerely apologize for this late change in venue, but we were desperately “holding on” - with great optimism, for an approval from the staff at the Bureau of Reclamation to come through, but unfortunately it never did, and we had to make a decision.

Damn it, isn’t there a huge 2-3 day WWBT tournament in the delta this same exact weekend coming up as well? For us weekend fun fishermen this SUCKS. Y’all need to calm down on how many tourneys there are it’s like 2-3 PER WEEKEND in the delta. Let alone back to back tourneys on the reservoirs. To many people think they are gonna be KVD. And people wonder why our fisheries have been declining.

FPT Tournament Director .

Please advise your group to get out of the entrance to Ladds " Before " Blast off .
There is plenty of room on the channel.
Too many boats stack up in the entrance and trap the weekend guys .
