Launching at Oroville

Post by Fly'in V »

How is Oroville doing.
Do you need 4 wheel drive to launch at Oroville?
Which Ramps are open?

These guys show the water level being at 727 feet.

Water level has come up enough to all the ones that I have been to (Spillway, Lime Saddle, and Bidwell), you do not need 4wd. Fish on, because the bite is extremely hot right now!

Yeah you are good to go for now....

It does look like the water level has peaked in the last day or so, it is going to get VERY low this year :(

According to DWR/Parks&Recreation there is a concrete ramp at Bidwell down to lake level 665'. Below that it will be a gravel ramp. Spillway ramp is concrete down to 700', then gravel. The new ramp at Loafer creek will be good down to 704'. Easy to launch at Bidwell now and the bite is excellent!
