Has any one out there driven to the north end of Indian Valley Resivour by way of Bartletts Springs Road? If so, how many miles is it and how is the road? I won't be pulling a trailer as I'll be fishing out of my float tube, but I've heard its 25 to 40 miles. I can't seem to get a straight anwser or find any info on the road. I've been on Walker Ridge road and have fished the Dam area and slayed smallies, but the wind comes through the channel from the north and blows me all around. So I think the north end might be a little more float tube friendly not to mention Im sure theres even more toads there.

Re: Bartlett Springs Road Question
The ONE time I drove that road I got 2 flat tires and my truck overheated. It is very dusty too. I HATE IVR!

Re: Bartlett Springs Road Question
It is fun on a motorcycle!
I'd go to IVR from Hy. 20. Much better road. Bartlett isn't a "tough" road like a 4x4 trail, it is just a rocky dusty winding road, you wind up to the top then tight switchbacks down. After you go down the other side it is pretty flat and in good shape, you cross a bridge over a creek, then in a few miles you are at the north end of the lake.

"I'm going out to fish," Simon Peter told them, and they said, "We'll go with you." So they went out and got into the boat, but that night they caught nothing.
"OK guys, Who brought the banana?"

Re: Bartlett Springs Road Question
Thanks big Rick for the info. My buddies went up Saturday, but only fished the south end from there kick-boats. They slayed fish all day. Small fish, but all day long. Mostly smallies with a few large mouth mixed in. Although I had another friend go up Sunday and they went Walker Ridge to the dam and then went to the north end from there and said the road was in great shape. So Im off next Saturday with my Bass Tech Kick-boat and a big lunch in tow. To the north end of Indian Valley for some hogs. Stay tune for a post on Sunday.
