Clear Lake Ramps

Post by ironhavoc »

I was up there two weeks, Red bud was barely usable.

Heard red bud is unusable now.

What ramps are actually good to go and open now?

Anyone been up there this last week?

5th street and oaks are your best bet! Parking lot on 5th was full Saturday by 10, but you can park in the north dirt lot next to the main parking lot.

5th street is the longest ramp at the lake and will be the last one impacted. I cant imagine going from the Oaks as of now, but it is technically still open. They have spray painted an indicator on the docks as to where the end of the ramp is at so boater beware

County park hasn't closed yet but it is really iffy. Had to help pull out a guys bass boat a week ago so proceed with caution.

Launched today at Oaks. Backed the trailer in until it started to drop off ramp. Wiggled the Ranger off the trailer. Trolling motor out. Reverse order and cranked boat onto trailer. Stories of rock piles In Close vicinity to ramp. Be careful. Good luck.
