CDFW is looking for landowners interested in participating in the SHARE fishing program.
SHARE (Shared Habitat Alliance for Recreational Enhancement) is a controlled access program that incentivizes private landowners and land managers to create opportunities for unique and rewarding recreational experiences through random lotteries, in exchange for financial compensation and full liability protection.
CDFW is establishing a fisheries component for the program and is currently looking for properties with a variety of water types that can serve the diverse interests and skills of recreational anglers.
Since 2010, SHARE has worked with more than 50 private landowners and enrolled more than 92,000 acres throughout the state. SHARE’s success relies on the involvement and dedication of landowners and appreciates their role in the stewardship of California's natural resources.
