Tracker Litihium Finale or Just Plain Bad Luck

Post by Fast Eddie »

Well as you may remember, my problem with the batteries dying after being fully charged, within a matter of hours, was the pro series charger. After doing some research, it appeared that the charger that was originally installed was not rated for lithium, although everyone told me it was. Someone had placed a LI sticker scotch taped on the charger. The dealer charged me the full price($500+) and ordered a new Noco charger at my request from the Noco site. When I got home I checked Noco's site and the charger was on sale. This meant that my "dealer" kept $121.00 difference in what they paid and I paid them. I called the dealer and told them I wanted the replacement charger too. ($650.00) They agreed. (still waiting for my new replacement charger) When I received the call that the boat was ready, I scheduled a day for pick up. The next day my cell phone was stolen. (If any of you guys who know me get a call that I need money, well its not me. :)
On the scheduled day, I went to pick the boat up, and brought up the price differential. They check the site and looked at one another. They didn't show me their invoice, but the service manager said he would give me $100.00 in tackle credit. What was I going to do? I agreed, but they had nothing I wanted. The service manager then instructed me to go to one of his sponsors sites and order some tackle. OK, I guess.
Long story short, I get back to the storage facility, plug in the new charger and Voila........ nothing. Now the marina is having electrical issues. Great! Then the wife says the back trailer tire looks low. By the time I get to look at it its flat. Great! Pull out the old drive up metal axel jack and it won't work on the square tubing. Great! Wind up repairing tire next day and taking boat home to charge.
Since replacing the charger and the marina fixing the electrical issues, I'm finally pleased to say NO Problems. (knocking on wood while I type this)
So far the Tracker Lithium's are working well. (Still considering IONICS)
TE
FE

PS Still waiting for the dealer to call and tell me to pick up my new pro series charger. Might be a longer wait.

You know Eddie you just might be a brother from another mother... ...It comes in streaks...said the proud owner of 2 broken Ford trucks....Don't ask

Oh and you'll love your new charger. I pulled off my old OEM charger this year for the same issues and now I'm moving along just fine on my AGM batteries.
