Re: TD Post
I couldn’t agree more.
Everyone knows my opinion of this organization. I have been in the tournament scene for 30+ years and have heard stories after stories about this one individual's business deals. From killing hundreds of fish to screwing people out of money to playing favorites to get his “friends” paid more then team in front of them to giving out sponsored product then 1099 people for the retail value. Yet people STILL fish his events.
It saddens me to see WB continue to cover up for this organization because tray are a “paying sponsor” of the page. I would hope WB would be more about what’s good for their customers over a few $$
Just my opinion, which no one seems to listen to lol.

Re: TD Post
This is where a new problem arises...... Although 4 sponsors of this circuit contacted me here.... and by other platforms. I am the original post here. The frozen post the next day Westernbass stated they work with others to a point to resolve some issues. Westernbass with the years they have had to deal with fallout from the same type issues, At a point one must conclude they are complicit in a revolving problem from one of their sponsors. They have not reached out to me.
Let me update to be fair. Vince emailed me for a second time that payment is in the mail. Check was due yesterday and did not come. Still maybe today. Still, it must clear, if it shows up. Which is ANOTHER subject that has been FULLY discussed on this platform. Bounced checks. Users on this platform should not be discouraged from shining light on SERIOUS Issues, and where Westernbass has conflict of interest, they should give a complete explanation why it continues by fault of their own or stay out of it. Censorship is not a solution. I should be contacted by them, that they are working on it. I have not. Then they let it build only to resurface. You would think they would recognize truth and integrity is a must. Please keep Comments that inflame others out so we dont get blocked again. You can message each other and not give them an ...... excuse ......to delete......

Re: TD Post
Unfortunately, for me I was unable to see the original post, so I cannot comment on anything but my own experience. Yes, there has always been the horror stories and imaginary boat numbers in these events. I've fished the Folsom Lake Bass Pro Open 4 out of the 5 years its been held, cashing a check in each event. This year when the final payouts were listed we were paid $50 less than the results posted a few day later.. At the weigh in we asked about the math and final boat count, etc. to the lady paying out and the response was "you need to talk to Vince". In the parking lot with a lot of tournament veterans, we just laughed about the numerous "gray areas" that always seem to follow these events.
Once the results were posted, I reached out to another competitor who was short paid, about the posted results and he texted Vince and Vince Venmo'ed him the $50. The next day, I sent and email inquiring about the posted results vs. pay out the day of the event and receiving the $50, no response. Follow up email a few days later went with no reply. I guess its the principal of the fact....

Re: TD Post
So here is the last update on the matter. Todays mail included a money order for the award from the Derby. This concludes the payment and whether the check was good. Im glad to be able for those who experience the same, past and future, see what that walk looked like over the weeks. Things like this happen in life, but should not be a business model. Westernbass as well as its sponsors should consider, action happened, as the views of this post were closing in on 3000 in a day and a half. It is my belief that if everyone should challenge situations by posting, pressure could make clear this treatment is unacceptable and will be exposed. Then and only then will change by pressuring westernbass to hold its sponsors more accountable. By You fisherman saying nothing..... then some going off the rails then giving Westernbass a free pass to delete the thread, you will soon see this recurring cycle over and over. Been going on for years. When things go crazy, Westernbass still needs to be able to shut it down. When the problems in the fishing community happen, We need the Westernbass platform to connect and unite for positive change. Take the personal stuff to the messaging side. We lose that chance every time personal Pride gets in the way. Shine a light on darkness and it must retreat. Catch BIGNS!
Re: TD Post
I have a couple questions:
1. How long did the process of being paid take from the day of the tournament until you finally received payment ?
2. Were/was there any communication between you and the TD as to when to expect payment ?
3. Have you contacted any of the others who had checks coming to see if they were having the same issue ?
I've fished many, many tournament in my 40+ years of fishing them and cashing a check, from B.A.S.S., FLW, Western Pro-Ams, US-Open, Team Circuits and down to open tournaments. NEVER have I had to wait even as much as a SINGLE DAY !!
There is absolutely NO excuse for it. Sure I've waited a hour or so, but that's somewhat normal. Who in there right mind would fish such a tournament !!! Well ???

Re: TD Post
I have fished tournaments for 15 years and several organizations are sending payment out now not writing checks at the events. I know I've been paid electronically by two different organizations. Gigwage and Paypal I think were the ones used. And it takes a bit of time to receive it.

WB replied to you by PM responding to the information you PM'd to us.
WB also contacted the TD and gave them your info. Something we would do with any advertiser as we have a direct contact for advertisers.
However, WB has no control over what is done after that.
We are sorry for yours or anyone's fishing experience that is not pleasurable; but resolving situations with companies that we have no control over is not the purpose of this site.
We are locking this up and will not continue this topic at this time.
Again we are locking the post, not deleting it - so there are no misconceptions of why it is locked or what was done. It is here see.
