At one time a favorite rod of mine that’s no longer made.

Look into the Daiwa Cody Meyer Tatula Elite Search bait rod. It’s also 7’6” and has a similar action. Cody was once on Powell’s rod staff and used the CB/SBR rod. Hint hint…

@Long Nguyen do you own/have you used the rod? The rod he’s looking for is money.

Yeah, I owned four of the original Powell Max 765 CB/SBR with the blue thread wrap. Even bought one used off of Cody himself. It was my “go-to” delta rod for a long time. Powell changed the rod and made it stiffer the designated it just the 765 SBR which I didn’t like.

I sold those rods off years ago and don’t use Powell anymore. The Tatula Elite fishes similar. A bit softer tip than what I remember from the CB/SBR but lighter weight in hand and more sensitive.

Powell messed up a lot of rods and that’s the reason people still Hunter the old ones.

I’ll have to look into getting one of those Meyers Daiwa rods.
