Dobyn's Cull Buoys - anyone tried them?

Post by Gotch »

Dobyn's Rods recently released new Cull Buoys. Has anyone tried these out? All other clip-on/non-penetrating cull buoys seem to get mixed reviews and these look legit but I wanted to see if there's any non-commercial feedback available out there? Thanks!

I haven't tried them, but if Gary Dobyns puts his name on it you can rest assured it's legit!

They look similar in design to the Ardent spring loaded cull clips..... I like the Ardent much better than others I have seen so I'd imagine the Dobyns are just as good

We did a lot of testing these cull buoys. We even sent out several sets to guys fishing lots of tournaments. All feedback was positive. We've sold a good number of these and so far all feedback is still 100% good. As with most products you test all you can but you really can't be 100% sure until bass anglers start using them. THX!!!

Thanks Gary. I figured you guys did your due diligence with these before you put them out. I appreciate the feedback!

This is an update to my original post. I bought a set of the Dobyns Cull Buoys and I am very impressed. The clips effortlessly attach with one hand while lipping a fish, and they stay pinned and don't seem to affect the fish at all. Also, the lengths of the buoys are just right and they clips remain attached when lifting a fish out of the live well. My only concern is with the floats themselves -- they are made of a thin, hard plastic and I am worried about them banging together and possibly cracking. Time will tell but these seem to be BY FAR the best option on the market today.

Lastly, huge thanks to Gary, Richard, and the entire Dobyns team for the incredible support you show to your customers who are veterans. It is greatly appreciated -- thank you!!
