It's the 10th of the month and I've built and sold 450 jigs so far and added 300 more jigs this morning. That doesn't include the Bladebaits,Spinnerbaits and Buzzbaits I've built and also sold. Do I need this website to advertise on not hardly. I only have 2 people on westernbass site that are allowed to buy from me.

I went fishing 2 days ago and got bit on a jig but it didn't take it and I gave it time. Now granted it wasn't your stunning high quality hand tied jig. Anyway, I tossed a neko rigged senko back in the hole and of course it picked it up and ate it. Nice little 2.5 lb spot. A guy can catch 5:1 using a senko vs a jig. And don't go talking about size either because i've stuck way bigger bass on a senko then a jig.

Whoopbass first off you have to know what your doing when fishing jigs type of structure the your going to use for that
the different structures you'll be fishing
Type of jigs you'll be using and the depths you'll be fishing. And Im talking lake fishing not the delta.

A finesse mini puffball jig in 1/8oz arkie head. For Spotted bass or Smallmouth Bass Using a spinning outfit with 6lb test.
No trailer needed or add a 1"curl tail grub.
It's a blast.

No RMANZO I come up with the idea and started building the puffball jig back in 1985 when square rubber was still around in regular and fine grade.And i then started tying the lion collar jigs not long after that. And use flashabou accent colors in all the jigs . But I originally started my business in 1977 Alcorn's sporting goods
In Fresno Ca. was my first store where I sold the puffball jig. And they went over very well.

I see whoopbass I hit another nerve but you should leave the jig fishing to the people that know what there doing. I'm sure my wife could school you with no problem. She very good fishing in 5 to 40 feet of water and she a very good structure fisherman also. But then again she learned from the best.

I use pro qualifier spinning rods 6'6" MH
I use Browning casting rods in MH
I also use both Berkeley spinning rods MH and Casting rods MH

I fish my rods and reels until they fall apart. I don't care about brands all that much and i'm not falling for that sales gimmick that you have to have all these rod actions that go by numbers. I just go by Med, Med Hvy, or Hvy. The problem I have with BPS rods is the ceramics in the guides fall out. I do have a BPS platinum signature rod that has held up and its probably the most sensitive rod I have. St Croix rods are not the most sensitive but they are tough. I have a Dobyn's rod that I use for big baits that is pretty nice. My reels are Tatula's that I paid around $100 for about 6 years ago. I still use a couple of the old green curados but they're about shot.
I got smart years ago and quit spending all of my money on fishing gear.
Even if you were to offer your jigs for sale to A-holes like me I probably couldn't afford them.

Honestly, don't know if these puffy jigs catch anything but looks to me like it would keep the bait from wedging into smaller rocks. 1/4 oz size might bounce right along. Maybe saving a few baits.

I specialize in light line fishing with 4,6,8,10 maxima line. I don't often get broke off I just like the lighter line better feel for when they pick it up. I really like to vertical jig in the winter or dead stick also. If the rod tips heavy then load up on them.

I use green maxima too. I have been playing with fluorocarbon lately. I just don’t see the big deal with it. My knots don’t Like. Seems snelling hooks does not work with fluoro. Nor does is like clinch knots or the triline knot. Palomar works the best
So far my conclusion is green maxima is the best line for me. The carbon line I might use for leaders in ultra clear water

Edge rods are hands down the best rods I ever used. For those that don’t know edge is Gary loomis’s company here in the United States and not shimano rods
Only problem is the rods are weeks out
If you are in a hurry forget it
ST croix are my second choice I like them a lot too. The legend series only
More than half my rods are built by myself saving a fortune
You can get Gary loomis blanks on sale at a great price

And one thing I won't do is bed fishing I don't have too run a bank to know the are already there. I not fishing any tournaments. The fish here in are 2 lakes I like to fishing are hard to figure out where there going to be this time of year even the bigger females. It's not rocket science

At 67 I don't consider myself old I'm still very active I fish a lot and still bowl between 18 and 25 tournaments a year.
And still pour powder coat and tie all my own baits.

Fished a locate lake using Pullball jigs last week with NLMB and Smallies manage catch several.
FLMB jig fish requires skill.

There are all kinds of “jigs” one of the oldest lures.
Bass anglers think of a jig as either the Arnie weedless head or the Football head used for casting.
The 1st jigs I used where ball head hair made by Doll Flies in the mis 50’s, been doing for a while.
Before Uncle Josh pork trailers Pedigo was the go to trailer out west. Larry MeCain, a JPL prototype machines came up with the Football head jig and wire weed guard. This was the era of hair or vinyl skirts. PVJ was the killer; Purple Vinyl Jig. My era of untapped jig fishing.
back then we had 3 pork colors; black, brown and purple. Vinyl skirts were available in White, Chartreuse, Blue, Purple, Brown and Black with combinations of all those colors, life was good.
I tried everything in the 60’s but hair work best for me. You couldn’t change a hair skirt like a Vinland skirt so I decided to make 3 color hair jig to use the 3 colors of Pedigo L3 & L4 trailers. The jig was black back, purple center and brown belly...anytime anywhere I called it. That was in 1971 when Larry made my Viper jig mold from a sketch.
Over 40 years later and a lot of giant bass anywhere anytime worked. Robin of Super Pork made me the Pedigo trailers for several decades, thank you Robin!
Puff Ball living rubber jigs came into life recently,thank you Mark.
