JVGondal you didn't need to edit your post
To tell you the truth the fishing here is just as good in are central valley lakes as it is to the north.

It maybe the restriction has been lifted. Didn’t want false information posted. For a long time Camanche did not allow boats from south because of the quagga muscle
In my opinion that is complete horse s h ! T
It’s basically a hoax
That just one man’s opinion

I fished Camanche 2 weeks ago and wasn’t asked where my boat had been. No sign of any quagga inspection at the north ramp.

I'm impressed with how the Mussels actually hasn't full on invaded our lakes.

I keep my kayak spotless and dry. in between trips I run a small fan inside the hull to really dry it out. the moving air helps. I have been inspected many many times, and having a clean boat really abbreviates the experience. usually some cute black Labrador-retriever sniffs my boat over. I went as far as silicon sealing every gap in my fishing net as well. I don't want any hitchhikers.

Camache is my kryptonite lake. the only lake in my history that tried to kill me. my fault since I can't read a weather report back then. the wind almost killed me. I had to beach it and hike like a trillion miles to my truck. I had to pull my kayak up a hill to get it to the truck afterwards. took three trips up that hill, kayak, gear box, rods. it was gross.

I need to go back. try again.

Both Camanche & Pardee are run my EBMUD (Oakland/Alameda) and have very rigorous boat inspections on the ramp, with staff at the ramp. One drop of water from anywhere ..... and you ain't launching.
