Nice looking baits jiggin. Do you throw all these baits on spinning gear? What lb test line do you use? Thanks.

I use fine tip scissors sharp for my thread work and slightly bigger scissors with dull edge to the blade for splitting round rubber and trimming silicone. And a razor blade for skirt trimming. When im adding flair to my longer silicone skirts.

Yes blade baits spinnerbaits and buzzbaits on spinning rods. Unless your worried about get broke off. Then you better use 65 lb braid on a heavy 7' casting rod. But then again I'm not a wuss

Here what I use to tie all my jigs and other lures
Flair is important in all skirting material I tie a lot of half skirts jigs Blade baits. Buzzbaits & spinnerbaits. And add full length silicone trailers tied in.

Alright Jiggin, you got it. Let’s ask folks how many serious bass fisherman including 100% of the pros actually use a SPINNING ROD for spinnerbaits and buzzbaits. The answer is zero. Hey, you asked.

pd I could give a dam what the pro's do or any serious bass fisherman. I specialize in light line
Fishing I fish like that year around no need to change heavy cover mean squat to me I fish it without worrying about getting broke off. And I use no net in my boats just something else that gets in the way.
You fish the way you want ill do what i want and i know what works best for me.
Pd do you fish 1/8 or 1/4 oz jigs in 60 feet of water on 4 or 6 lb test. I do. And catch nice fish doing it Just takes patience. As for following any pro's no need to.

Thanks jigs. Been tying my own jigs for pushing 50 years, total hack. Was just wondering if you had a magic way to cut the strips getting started but I guess scissors are it. Again, beautiful stuff

Very nice they look good what jig head are you you using. Those will catch fish
How many strips of round rubber did you use to tie them. For me the puffball jig I like to use two 2 1/2 3"strips when tying round rubber with either silicone accent or flashabou. If im tying silicone puffball I use 3 silicone skirts cut in half and stack them before I load and tie them up. I like to use both fine and regular grade round rubber when tying them. And when im tying jig heads with weed guards. I like to glue my guard in place before I tie my jigs they dont get in the way and there easy to tie around .

What was the funny thing with him he would put the boxes on the counter I use to tell him keep the lids closed or the light from inside the building was going to bleach and fade the color out of the round rubber they'll turn white to the open air. Sure enough I would show up he would have 1/2 dozen that didn't sell and would fade. I always brought extras and exchanged them for him. And would bring my skirting material and would cut the faded rubber off and tie him some new skirts so he would have them. I finally talk him into packaging them that took care of the fading and bleaching out. He always wanted them out on the counter when you walk in. And finally he change to hanging them up. He was the only person I would do that for. He hated losing money  I bought 12 of my 6'6" MH Spinning rods and 4 of my 6'6" MH casting rods from him. And I still use them in my fishing today there all still in good shape.

Hey pd here are the graphs i use on both my bass boats very simple and easy to read and great for picking out all types of structure Im going to be fishing. You dont need high dollar graphs to catch fish and fish with light line but the pro's 98 % of them will tell you they beg to differ
