At the mid-day mark of the BAM Kayak Tournament on Lake Tulloch, Jesse Hoover has emerged as a standout, currently holding third place with an impressive display of skill and strategy. Hoover, known for his meticulous approach to fishing, has been leveraging a jig fishing technique that’s proving to be highly effective in today’s conditions.

Hoover’s technique involves a slow, methodical presentation of the jig, targeting the rocky structures where bass tend to hide. By varying his retrieval speed and occasionally pausing, he’s been able to entice strikes from otherwise lethargic fish. The water clarity and temperature, coupled with Hoover’s precise casting and knowledge of the lake’s bottom structure, have played to his advantage, allowing him to selectively target larger bass.
