Re: Cooch Jig article
When I first started fishing tournaments I met him and he pretty much took me under his wing. Har har...
We became great friends and fished a lot of different lakes. We fished some Snag Proofs too. He was a mentor and great friend. Broke my heart when he passed. I talked to the night before he passed and if only I knew so I could have said bye. I'll never forget his last words he said to me.
I'll never forget you homie...

Hey Ash, you missed your fish - as he flips his jig in behind me and THUNK! yanks one out. I swear i still hear him yammering inside of lil Mandy when i am on the outside - RIP my friend thanks to everyone for keeping his spirit alive and well.

Fun memories for us too when we dig thru the archives to put one up for a Throwback or Flashback day. Is there any of the other anglers/writers that you would like for us to look into the archives specifically for?

Yo John,
Been a minute hope all is well. I've been busy had my first kid. Not planned Lmao! The love of my life my daughters name is Haylee.50 years old with a three year daughter, what the hell was I thinking. Har Har.I have a similar story but the opposite. Fishing with Cooch in Lil Mandy. He flips his jig in a sweet spot nada and I laugh and say there's one in there you missed. I flip in and stuck a 10lb 11 Oz. Bass. Still my PB today. Only problem was I was pre fishing. Lmao. You remember when you first walk in Coochs house on the left wall all those bassmaster plaques? When he passed his ole lady gave all of them to me. Hanging in my garage as we speak.
