So last week I see a post from a "Nut Case" Otay Michael (no reference to Porky or Buckwheat

) about looking for a back seat on the following Monday. Imagine my surprise when on Sunday all the Northern guys that stepped up to offer this So Cal case a lift. I figured the list would be long, but not one guy stepped up. Having been in that situation on the East Coast (where promised a seat and then canceled the day of) I decided to step up and give this guy a seat. We met at Rivers End, launched the boat and as we're cruising out the marina there are millions of shad flicking and popping the surface as far as we could see. Now when I get back from launching, I see Micheal throwing one of those "gigantic winged top waters. Hmmmn? Yep gotta be from So Cal. Off we go to the first stop and Michael starts to get bit on top water. (no not that top water

) Small fish. But interestingly enough there doesn't appear to be any bait. We start hopping around different spots, catching small fish, when I hear Michael kiddingly say " Its 3 or 4 to zero". I think to myself is this going to be a small fish contest.

I better get started then, and pick up my rattling bait. Match the hatch as they say.

Well I start catching them. As a matter of fact, I catch two at the same time. We had a good laugh about that. Although we didn't have the kind of day I was hoping for, we had a lot of fun and I made a new WB friend.
Wednesday rolls around and my trailer tire is supposed to be delivered today. Remember, while at Don Pedro I punctured the side wall and road rashed the rim. Of course no one carries the tires. I heard from KB and he gave me the Ranger part number, but that included the wheel. He also steered me to E-trailer dot com, but I had already found them and didn't trust on lone ordering. When I found out there was no option to order "just a tire" i used E trailer. Spoke to a guy named Jake who was able to process my order and answer my questions. (Did you know trailer tires have balance beads?

). Anyway, the tire is supposed to be here when I begin wondering, how are they shipping one tire? Is it wrapped in shrink wrap etc. Turns out it came in a box. Pretty cool. Now my local Big O tires mounts it for me. Guess how much? Nope Wrong, Nope wrong again. Zero, Nadah, Nothing. I tip the guys twenty bucks and say thank you.
So now I have my spare which was made in 2023 according to the tire. Those of you "yutes" who understand this stuff, help your dads next time they need tires for there trailer, try E-Trailer.com.
Till next time.
