While preparing my gear
A noise from the bilge
Is what I did hear
It sounded like a crack
Or even a rattle
So I turned on the pump
To see what was the matter
The color of the water
Well , it seemed quite clear
What made it that way
Was something I feared.
Quaga or Golden in my bilge
Could it be? Start taking out batteries
and have a looksee
As I moved the cover to expose the pump
The shape of a mussel was in my sump
Oh No! I declared, It mustn’t be
AND THEN I WOKE UP!
