Off of a garage kept 2009 champion bass boat. Helm may still be working. Cylinder likely has center seal leaking. Will need rebuild on both units just to be certain. Boat was slipping slowly to either side when running on plane and would slowly fall to either side when tilted up. This is indicative of a leaking middle seal in the cylinder. I replaced both the helm and cylinder, so not sure which unit was the culprit (therefore rebuilding both is vital).
My boat has 700 hours on it and hence so does this equipment. Always freshwater/delta use only. All parts are included plus new outer cylinder seals.
The newest model of these run about $2100.00 to $2500.00 for both, depending on where you purchase. Remember this is the tilt model. New Dometic Seastar model would be the HH6190-4 and HC6345-3 (this is what was recommended and what I replaced with as the Pro XS (according to the Dometic) has higher torque and requires a more sturdy system)
