This comes from CDFW, Didn't see anything about smallies. https://wildlife.ca.gov/Fishing/Records

Marinas and tackle shops keep track of "lake records". CDFW only recognizes/keeps track of State records.

sheesh.. memory lane with the Castaic photo. Been forever since someone caught a real donkey out of that lake.
