Yes they will do that Clams around and in the big canals on the westside valley do the same thing it's nothing new. I don't see a problem with it.You catch enough of them boil them up have a feast.

There every big canal on the west side and in San Luis as long as they keep pumping water south from the delta the problem aren't going to stop there a little to late to stop the spread of the mussels in all the northern ca lake. **** just happens.
