Here is a little recap of the last events that Randy fished with BASS and I think that we can all agree this is before FFS became the norm for many anglers. His constant bashing of our sport just to get views and follows to get paid is getting old.

I find it crazy that Bridgford continues to support him after they spend so much money promoting their company in bass fishing and always in a positive light. They have some great pro staff members and they have Randy.....When I fish WON events I find it really hard to do the Bridgford in the Boat promotion because some of that may end up in Randy's pocket...... but I have a great respect for many of their sponsored anglers and tournament support.

His use of the term "cheater box" every time some angler wins a tournament using FFS would have gotten his nose repositioned in the era I grew up in.... You had to be very careful with that cheater term and the guys that are winning with it are not cheaters......

Look down the list of supporters on your page WB.com and remember you own FW stores and yet we share this guys negative impact that isn't really helping get and keep anglers involved...... Much better stuff out there to share if you dig a little harder.

Yep I do now and have always made my living in the fishing side of the business and take offense to his daily you tube pissing on our sport...... C'mon Bridgford I can make you a list of guys that could represent you in a much more positive light......

It's technically not cheating but is it sporting? It's almost like bed fishing year round.
If you don't have it on your boat then you have very little chance of cashing a check unless you're fishing the delta.
I won't fish any more lake tournaments because of FFS.
Randy is a Youtuber now. He will post anything to get clicks just the same as most pro bass fisherman that will pimp any turd lure to make a buck. I don't see why Bridgford would have a problem with Randy because he's catering to a certain percentage of fisherman that agree with him. Heck the NPFL agrees with him as well.

I happen to be a Randy Blaukat guy.

With regard to the recent tournaments you highlighted: The man is 64 years old! Maybe I'm wrong, but haven't bass tournaments always been, if not a young man's game, a middle-aged man's game? I only follow the professional circuits loosely, but I don't think anybody has had significant success with an AARP card. All things considered the man has 50 Bassmaster top 10 finishes in his career.

I am glad somebody sticks up for a more "pure" form of fishing. Where is the line drawn with FFS? The technology is only going to get better. If a fisherman with "AI assist" on his $25,000 sonar wins a tournament, does he really win the tournament? What do you think of using drones to hunt? Isn't there something to be said for experience, time on the water, intuition, intelligence?

I am a charter Life Member of B.A.S.S. since 1968, May be the oldest living member!
What B.A.S.S. went through with ESPN era was far worse!

The whole crying about forward facing sonar is lame.
I bet all the people crying about how unfair it is has the latest electronics with mapping, structure scan, and side imaging.
They should **** can all that fancy stuff too then.
Go back to paper topo maps and 2d sonar to find break lines and drop offs, instead of just driving around fishing all the black line areas on their mapping.
Forward facing is just another tool for a productive day on the water.
I suggest you find a friend with it on his boat, that really understands how to use it in conjunction with side scan and mapping.
It might just change your mind.
Ps we used to take the old school flasher transducer and turn it sideways on the old school brute motorguide to stay with schools of shad on lake Shasta to catch the spots under them.

Myself I think forward facing isn’t the greatest thing for the sport. It’s fishing for suspended fish we never harassed before. Is there any place they can live without a fisherman casting at them now?
I don’t think turns a poor fisherman into a good one either. It’s not as easy to use as we might think and if that bite is not working you need to know how to do something else.
FFS is just another tool. FFS does not worry my so much as the technology that is just around the corner. Soon you will be able to lock onto a school of shad and the boat will follow it positioned x feet away using GPS
What will that be like? Soon the electronics will identify a bass from a trout
I know we can already do that if you know how they mark
What will be left to learn? Soon enough AI will tell you what lure to cast and what depth and the rest
is forward facing sonar possibly the beginning of the END to fishing as we know it ?

So wrong time slot yea nobody is going fishing at 5am are they and there are over 40 plus podcast platforms that carry the show nationwide so your numbers may be off a bit.......are they Randy's numbers? Nope not at all....... can you get a podcast on your bag phone?

I have done my show for over 20 years and have never dealt on the negatives of our sport we try to remain positive, recognize accomplishments of others, follow along on many of their journeys and attempt to promote the sport of bass fishing and tournament bass fishing at all levels grass root to elite level, support and contribute to conservation efforts and if I can't come up with some positives every week I will quit but don't get too excited it isn't going to happen yet....

You said quite some time ago "who cares does anyone listen" so I figured you weren't listening anyway....

This isn't about FFS it was more about the negative running down of BASS and anyone else that will garner him numbers and I really think it is getting tired... There are alot of people working hard to better the sport, support conservation and kids programs and the constant negative doesn't help much.....

Now Bridgford doesn't make bread they make beef jerky and meat snack products but you must of missed that.....

Anyway Puffy hope you are feeling better and getting out on those lakes you like. I have never confused myself into thinking you are a supporter...... As far as Randy on my show....I will pass I think I will have Laker Howell on this week after his big Bassmaster Open win on an old fashioned Snag Proof frog last week and earned him a spot at the Bassmaster Classic this year.

Oh you don't have to wake up at 5am to listen to a podcast you can set the schedule...... ok I am going to make a sandwich.....

Hey kent if you haven't noticed there Postives and Negatives in all sports and fishing gets it share. Your bring a guy that going to share his experience on winning a tournament and pimping his sponsors product because he needs to make a living. But when Randy go on his podcast and talks about both positive and negative stuff about fishing you think brigeford products should drop him. Who died and made you god kent again it's a free country
If you don't like what Randy has to say then shut his podcast off.
Kent you have a bigger problem here in Ca than pimping Bass fisherman and MLF fisherman on your show.
You've got big problem in northern Ca. On some of your lakes instead of pimping your buddies on BASS and MLF maybe you should turn your attention to your big buddies in Sacrown and get some answers it might help your ratings

But I doubt that I will be turning my show in to the political outdoor hour.

That is a good question EBMUD is being over the top with closing those lakes but are concerned with getting them in their lakes. They feel there is a better chance with their close proximity to the Delta.

They were the first lakes to ban out of state boats and doing inspections for years so not sure how they will handle in the future

They have not allowed boats from southern Ca ever since they began the zebra and quagga mussel inspections. Part of me thinks we lost our boating there indefinitely
