Help! Mercury XS 175 HP four stroke

Hey guys, I have a mercury XS 175 HP four stroke that is giving me a five second straight buzzing alarm after I turn on the motor. I have a hot foot that will not engage. I’m only able to idle forward after engaging the handle. It puts me in a safe mode to protect the motor.
Does anyone know what this could be?
* sidenote* I changed my oil about four months ago so it’s not that.

Could be a low oil sensor. That beep usually indicates low oil pressure. Pump? Take it to C&C Marine, or one of the other dealers and have them troubleshoot. They'll tell you whats wrong and you can fix it.
