Absolutely correct, if the bait is rolling you need to slow way way down. I would also check the split ring and line tie. with glide baits i like a San Diego jam knot so that i can adjust the angle of the knot. You may also want to check the split rings on your hooks to ensure the hooks arent catching on each other. If hardware is good, then slow her down some more and see what speed gives you the best glide.
If i use a split ring it is an owner hyperwire oval ring. i agree with JL on the owner hooks, i would rather my glide have a bit more ROF to trigger on the pauseFast Eddie wrote: ↑Wed Sep 10, 2025 6:58 am Thank You guys. I thought I was slow, buy now I'll be S L O W. Should I change out the split rings (althouh I didn't have the hooks tangle)? Also thinking of changing the hooks, what do you guys recommend?
Thanks Again
