I did come up with that answer back in 1985 when I interduce the Finesse Lions Collar Jigs.
I've sold thousands and thousands of these baits along with the Puffball jig I've done very well with both baits since I built them back in the 80s

What are you fishing for guppies?

Well we get to fish here in the central valley we catch nice bass here at Eastman and Hensley it really going to start heating up here in Sept and Oct. Going to be a steady diet of 2 to 4 lb bass at both lakes. I know where I'll be fishing without waiting.

Catch a big one

The wife and I will be catching some good fish in Oct and Nov. Were looking forward to it.

I would bet watching this jig falling slow on a Cheater Box screen and watching a suspended fish inhale it would be fun to watch.

It is not really all that.

Myself I like making long cast strip the line let it sink slow and watch the fish swim off with the jig and the line startss taking off I reel down and sat the hook always a good fight with light line.

I mean it is fun to see them eat it on the screen. I have watched it happen a lot of times
Only problem is you really have to stare at the stupid thing a lot. It’s definitely different. I have active target but really don’t use it that way so much.
I like to see the structure with it and see if fish are moving around and fish them
Staring at the screen trying to watch your bait all day is not that much fun.
I have definitely learned a ton about the fishes behavior
It also lets me know if the fish are even interested in the lure at all.
Sometimes I find a school of bluegill. Fish around and in them and a big bass cones out of no where.
Active target is definitely a very interesting tool. If you can try one do it. It does not have to be a cheater box for fun fishing. I can say it certainly did not instantly transform me into some kind of super hero fisherman.
Is it cheating? I would say no. Now if we are talking about tournament fishing I think if you are fishing against others who have it and you do not have it
