Pardee Reservoir:
Due to the high risk if Pardee Reservoir becomes infested with the golden mussel, Pardee Recreation Area will not be open to public boat launching in 2026.

Camanche Reservoir:
Beginning May 1, 2026 and ending October 1, 2026, boats that have been inspected and have completed a 30-day quarantine will be allowed on Camanche Reservoir at the South Shore boat launch ramp. All boaters must have their quarantine band inspected and recorded prior to launching. Car-top boats, canoes, kayaks, and stand-up paddle boards that cannot be banded will be inspected prior to launching. The boat ramp will open daily at 6:00 a.m. and will close at 8:00 p.m. All boaters who wish to return to Camanche Reservoir without completing an additional 30-day quarantine must have their boat re-banded prior to leaving the park.

Banding of boats will begin in early 2026 by appointment only. The banding process starts with a vessel screening which includes a vessel history and inspection. Boats must be cleaned, drained, and dry prior to inspection. Boats that do not meet these requirements will be turned away. Boats that pass screening will have a quarantine band attached and cannot be launched for 30 days prior to launching on Camanche Reservoir. After the 30-day quarantine, boats may return to Camanche Reservoir and, after inspection of the band, will be allowed to launch. Boats with bands that are broken or show signs of tampering will not be allowed to launch.

Boats that have completed the 30-day quarantine and have launched on Camanche Reservoir may receive a blue band before leaving the park. This blue band will allow a vessel to return to Camanche Reservoir without an additional 30-day quarantine.

Camanche Reservoir will re-open to private boats every year beginning May 1 and ending October 1.

San Pablo Reservoir.

It’s not about invasive species it’s about a money grab by your local government agencies!!! If my boat was inspected and passed at lake berryessa, Folsom lake, ect why can’t I launch my boat elsewhere beside the lake I gotten it inspected and it’s passed??? I’ve had my boat decontaminated and all they did was run hot water thru my live wells and bilge pumps… they record my CF# and log it so they know if it’s been decontaminated or not, especially if it has a tag on it!!! I really feel like this is just another way to get money and kill the fishing and boating industry… does anyone else feel the same???

It might be a money grab but I think it’s more about control and power. Do you think the people making these rules follow them or do they boat and fish their now private waters? Yes you may be right. Sooner or later you might have to pay a membership or some other way to get your money. I don’t think that is all it’s about but part of it. You can bet your *** every last person in charge of making these decisions about our boating right are left wing liberals looking out for the “greater good”. Nothing will change until we get rid of the likes of newsom and his cult followers. We have plenty on this forum

It’s a joke. It’s an obvious attack on fishermen. Who wants to fish from may to September?
Once they force electric cars it’s over. They will track every place we go and put limitations. We will drive a cell phone with wheels

When you reduce everything into a “us” vs “them” worldview it leaves you unable to see the nuances and complexities of the real world. So it’s an extreme (and inaccurate) view that you hold. It’s not a mature, reasoned take. It’s emotional reasoning.

Try reading some books on the history of water and water rights in the state. You might be surprised by what you learn. If you read with an open mind, you might even learn the world is not as black-and-white as you have presumed.

I can’t be the only one alarmed by the phrasing about getting rid of Newsom’s followers. Jeez man, touch grass.

You want me to read the history of water rights in this state and open up my damn mind? Liberals always love to use the phrase "open up your mind" even though their brains are shut off to everything besides their indoctrinated beliefs.
I'm sure nothing has changed in the last 150+ years so I presume water rights were given to people that had the most money or influence over these cooked politicians. The last water rights given that I know of were given to Stuart Resnick by Republican Governor Pete Wilson. Our water was STOLEN. Were not even allowed to catch a bucket of rainwater in this state. That should tell you something as in the water that falls from the sky is not for us peasants. The King will allot how much water he thinks we need and charge us a damn high price for it.
