Inflation and unemployment are on the rise due to tariffs. Businesses across the country are suffering or on the verge of closing and laying off employees. Those that are not suffering, are taking Musk's DOGE action to layoff thousands either by reorganization or merges. It's no wonder the stock market is soaring!
Populism is a political stance that emphasizes the idea of the "common people", often in opposition to a perceived elite. It is frequently associated with anti-establishment and anti-political sentiment.
T has evolved into a tabloid president, characterized by sensationalism with daily attacks on individuals and countries to cover the fact that he supports a rich elite contemptuous of anyone not included in it. (BTW Putin definitely is included in that class and beyond reproach.)
T's freely acting above the law reflects the few restraints in place to stop willful abuse of statutes and legal precedent, starting with the courts and a Congress that are as impotent as T is physically. Getting away with felonies via personal or executive abuses, doesn't mean no one is paying attention. It means that those who are above the law do not support a law-abiding system, the prime purpose of which was to ensure the law is for all and that do not exempt the few.
Trump's hypocrisy knows no bounds and his base glorifies his actions minus any details or justifications based on the truth. Choosing a self-imposed ignorance and turning a blind eye that replace scrutiny and the constant evaluation of his actions, is no excuse nor is not acknowledging that ones' choice was flawed turning a blind eye.
But then again, the ignorant rarely admit their mistakes and stand proud - ie.Proud Boys!
