Vacuum Sealing your catch

Post by TDmize »

I know most of you guys on this board arent down with keeping fish, but i do know some of you who hit the saltwater this time of year for yellowtail, dorado, tuna etc will keep some of what you catch. I need a recommendation on a vacuum sealer for my fish filets. I have seen a few in stores, but I am not sure which one to purchase. Anyone have any recommendations? Which ones are better than others? Price? Extra bags? Place to purchase etc. Thanks.

the FoodSaver II claims that its the best. Its one of those nice-to-haves that you only need a few times a year. Check out ebay for some deals.

food saver II is the best. I use it a heck of a lot. Not just for fish but for venison and also meat bought at Costco.Just a couple of examples because I fire mine up about twice a month.
