Next week everyone is hitting the water for the WON Bass Lake Shasta Open and yes the weather forecast looks very consistent for the event......consisten rain but that always makes the Lake Shasta bass go on the bite. We are hooking up with a friend from the past and a past Bassmaster Classic and Forrest Wood Cup Champion Luke Clausen one of few to accomplish this and he will be in the field for Shasta and making his way down from Washington State. Part of the Bridgford Foods Team and a long time Western pro it has been awhile since he competed at Lake Shasta.
The Skeet Reese Big Bass Challenge is shaping up for Clear Lake and sign ups are coming in with everyone looking for that one bite that will get them a new Ranger/Mercury boat valued at nearly $100,000. Skeet joins us live for an update and he will be hanging out at the registration for WON on Wednesday to meet the anglers so we will have two Classic Champs in one room....That doesn’t happen in the West very often.
There is still time to get signed up for Shasta and Billy Egan joins us to walk us thru getting signed up right before the event and he will probably cover getting signed up early for the Clear Lake Open coming soon as well.
The Bassmaster Elites are on the water this week we will be following along with them as well after the cut on Friday.
Don’t forget Valentines Day is Saturday so a good collection of red crankbaits, a dozen red baitcasting reels or the really big gift of 21 feet of red metalflake Ranger...........
