Map Create question

Post by Rob D »

Can anyone with the mapcreate program for Lowrance give a little insight. Do you like it? Does it have lake contour lines? How do the maps compare to Fishing Hotspost?
I live in Oregon so most of the lakes I fish up here are not on the Fishing Hotspots and simular programs, all I get is the outline of the lake. Only time I get to use the maps with contour lines is fishing Shasta and Clearlake.
Thanks for your help!
I fish because I CAN!!

A friend made me a file with most norcal lakes and they have no contours. They are easy to read. I put the file on my Navionics Hot Maps Classic chip. It's nice to have when I'm fishing the Delta and other places that aren't on the Navionics chip.

No contour lines at all. The program is pretty good especially in the Delta, or else I'd be lost. I have found that on many central valley lakes, according to mapcreate, I'm cutting across dry land on the map. I can only guess that when the map was designed the water levels were different. I still couldn't go without it.
