OK Kids - Now Hear this
OK Kids - Now Hear this
I deleted the Mona Vie thread - it was getting out of hand.
I want to give you guys some background. Mick did not want to initially advertise on our site, due to exactly what happened in this and previous threads. He was basically forced into an advertising contract from our members ("You should be an advertiser to post this stuff" etc).
As you all know, we are a free site for our users. We only charge those that choose to advertise with us. He signed a contract and I built the ads. We placed the ads in compliance with his contract. Now this starts.
We have had a big response to this product being advertised. I do not support or endorse this product on its merits, as I have not used it. Nor do I deny the products effectiveness. I also have my own views on MLM's which I will keep to myself.
I will say this. If there is a flare up of the previous magnitude to this post, I will delete it. I am not defending an advertiser or flexing my muscle, I simply don't want to see it. Let the cards fall where they may. If his advertising is successful he will continue, if it is not, when his contract expires, he will cease his advertising. The simplest way for you to show displeasure (if you have any) is to not respond.
Let's get back to taliking about each other and fishing, or the lack of. I do know that Tony and his son will be fishing the Delta tomorrow and I expect a full report of a 7 pound sack caught on Banjo Minnows and Helicopter lures!!

I'd bet that I'm not the only one that enjoyed the hell out of all that BS that was posted in those threads. While I was at work I couldn't get back to my office fast enough just to see what was up. Let the good times roll again, hell Conlow is even quoating Dr. Dean Edel on the matter!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Har Har

For most issues, the folks on this board exercise enough restraint to keep their negative posts in check but the MonaVie/MLM topic evokes such strong feelings in people that they will continue to post on it no matter how many times a thread is deleted.
It was good reading and brought into dicussion such issues as personal integrity and the line on what folks here will or will not tolerate.

It's a relative term! A free-for-all here could be considered tame or situation normal for that other bass board!Fishin' Dave wrote:Dude, this board is never in check.

I think Blue Ranger has hit the nail on the head. This topic won't die. Frankly, I was saddened to see Jim Conlow Sr's. post about Dr. Dean Eddel taken off. If it was removed because someone responded in an inflamatory manner, then I understand why you removed the thread. I didn't have the chance to see where the thread went before it was deleted. As someone else pointed out, the admins on this forum are very open to heated discussion; much more so than other forums I've been on. And I appreciate that. However, Jim's post was purely informational. He let potential customers know that a well-known medical professional, whom Americans have trusted for years, entirely doubted the claims of a certain product. That is the kind of information I would want myself, a friend, or a family member to have access to before buying something to address health problems. People ask for opinions on products (even paying-sponsors products) all the time on this forum. There must be a reason for so much objection to this one product in particular.

Sorry, I meant Blue R70. I'm confusing my NCBF members because I'm exhausted from the beating I took on the Delta today. Great bite out there right now, eh?

Re: GAG ORDER!
Yea, but these threads are like cockroaches. You kill it and there are six more waiting in the wings. And don't they say cockroaches are able to survive nuclear war?

I have a Fish Hedz too, and I love it. I have no windshield on my boat. I wore it yesterday morning on the Delta because it was cold at blast off. I took it off later on when it warmed up and I got hit in the face by a bee at 60 mph. Wish I'd been wearing it then.

Re: GAG ORDER!
Bill,
I had tendonitis in my left elbow so bad I could hardly hold anything in it. I went to the doc, got cortizone, physical therapy, and it still hurt.
Finally, I grabbed a golf club, pinned the head against the inside of my right foot, and twisted my arm as far as I could stand both ways, holding it for five seconds each way. I repeated that several times, and, miracle of miracles, the pain went away.
Turns out my kind of tendonitis was caused by the muscle being too short from not being stretched, so it put pressure on the tendon which connected it to the bone. Tendons don't stretch, but muscles do, and they are supposed to take the shock of impact, not the tendon. At the time, I was playing a lot of golf, and not stretching my arm before I played. I stretched everything else before hand, but it never occured to me to stretch my arm.
Short story long, try it. It may help.

Re: GAG ORDER!
Stretching and regaining elasticity of the tensor is the way to ease the pain. I've managed the pain for 15 years, you just have to stick to it, you'll do it for a few weeks to a month and all of the sudden it will just disappear. Google "tennis elbow stretches" you'll find hundreds of sites with info. cut and paste this link into your browser. The big problem with tendons in general and them healing is the lack of blood flow to tendons, thats why most pain killers don't work well on them.
