100% Pro/ams Let's show Korny we still want them!

Post by Old dog »

If you like the idea of one day Pro/ams, that only cost $275 to enter(including all options) and have the best % paybacks around, then please sign up for next weeks 100% Pro/am on the Delta or at least let Korny know you plan on fishing them next year. His turn-out for these events has not been good enough for him to keep the same format for next year unless we show him that the numbers will increase. If your tired or can't afford to pay the current $600-$1000 entry fees at other events, please let Bob know you plan on fishing his events next year. This circuit has five tournaments and you count your best four to qualify to fish at the TOC for a Bass Cat. If enough people show up next Saturday or at least phone or e-mail Bob to let him know they plan on fishing next year, we can still save the pro/ams as they exist now without any changes. This is a working man's circuit with low entry fees, great paybacks and its run by a man who has put his heart, his soul and all the sweat he has into making a dream of giving back to the anglers everything he can, come true. If you want to fish next week go the 100% website download an application and send it in to avoid the late fee. Let's show Korny we really want to help keep the Pro/ams as they are.

If Korny could get them scheduled so they are not on top of the other western pro-am events (or the practice weekend for those events), I would love to fish them again.

But it I don't think they will happen with Korny takin' on the Super Team Tour plus at this point it would be next to impossible to schedule.

It's kind of interesting that a last ditch effort is being mounted now to save these tournaments. Folks has all year to get into these events and the tunrout just wasn't enough to sustain them into another season. Now the rally cry to get guys to turn out for the Delta tournament, although admirable, would seem to be entirely too late. DFG permits were pulled in July and the I don't believe any were pulled for these events so to try to squeeze them in now might be asking an awful lot for Korny.

I gotta believe that super team format was something Korny felt he could take on taking into consideration that there would be no one day pro ams on his calendar.

Gary and Tony Bob has already informed us that the circuit will be sheduled differently. My point is 100% is for the guy that can't spend $1000-$1500 or more, when you include all your costs, to fish a two day event. His pro-ams are for the true working guy who can only prefish for a couple weekends and still be competitive in a one day event. The other choice is going up against a lot of full time pro's in events they really have no chance of placing very high in, and spending a lot of money to do so. I am not trying to be critical of anybody's ability, but I have to be realistic about my ability and at what level I can be competitive, with my limited time to spend prefishing. I believe this is the case for most working stiffs. I should have posted earlier and I apoligize to Bob for not doing it sooner. Bob can still get permits as long as we show him that there is still enough interest and support for him to go through the effort. What ever you do don't ever doubt what this man can do, because no one will work harder for the angler to pull something off.

Hope you didn't take what I posted personally. If you guys will it, Korny can make it happen. Of that I have no doubt. It's really up to the anglers now. Best of luck to all!

Korny runs smooth events and is a class guy to boot.
I'm in need of a signup Pro, so LMK if there are any last minute Pros out there that need an AM. I've already sent my $ in, just need to let Korny know.. (see other post)

If all else fails, I guess that I'll be fishing my club tourney and be out there anyway!

I have never fished a 100% event, BUT, from all the good word I have got from Jim ("Jim's Pro Bass Tackle" in Paso Robles) I am going to be fishing 100% teams in 2007. I also sent in my Am registration a couple of weeks ago for this Delta Pro/Am. I would love to fish all of next years Pro/Ams if they have them. With my registration in, I am hoping to be able to make the 4 hour drive Friday, all I need is enough pros to sign up. Looking forward to spending this Saturday on the Delta with 100% Bass!!!

Bob I will be fishing them if you are able to put it together. I like the the idea and will be there this weekend. Looking forward to all of your tourneys this year especially the T O C . You really do put on some of the most organized tourneys I have fished. Keep up the good work. The "Big Valley" Region is a competitive and fun circuit with a lot of good teams. Our directors do a great job for us here!!!!With the pro-ams it enables me to fish different bodies of water that my partner and I are not able to fish. Since I'm not able to fish full time it helps me better my skills.Which lord knows I need. lol
