Rod Guide Repair

Post by ash »

I have a custom rod that has single foot fuji eyes that require a locking wrap to keep them in place. One of my guides fell out, I still have the guide, who would you recommend to re-wrap the guide?

Thanks!

That was who I was trying to think of when you asked me, I just couldn't remember his name. Saw some of his work at ISE.

Dont know if you got your answer...YES I recommend replacing the guide. As an on the water fix you can superglue the ring back in but you'll want to replace the entire guide once you get a chance.

If the threads arnt damaged, just put a couple of drops of super glue on the foot & stick the guide back in .
make sure its in line with the other eyes.
