New Legend...Huge thanks to Inland Marine!

Post by Rob Cummings »

I would like to send a huge "public" thanks to Frank Lozano and Jeff at Inland Marine in Antioch for setting me up with my new Legend LE-21. The service they showed me up there was great. I was on the phone with Frank several times a day for a week and wasn't put on hold one single time. He even overnight shipped a few things I wanted added to the boat. I showed up early on pick up day and Frank and Jeff dropped what they were doing to get me on the road with the boat as soon as possible. Jeff took me back in the shop and went over the boat front to back and got me spun up on specifics of the 225 Optimax. Making sure everything was set, they both stayed 2 hours past closing time to get me safely back on the road. I'm still breaking in the boat and Frank is still on top of all my questions, phone calls and emails. They've made my first big boat purchase a breeze and very pleasureable experience. Thanks guys!!

For anyone in SoCal interested in the Legend boats: I'm still breaking in the boat but I'm TOTALLY happy with it so far. I'm on Lake Casitas with the boat nearly every weekend. If you want a first hand look at a Legend LE-21 and Casitas is a convenient weekend trip for you, send me a pm or email and we can arrange a time for you to look at the boat while I'm at the lake.

Thanks...it's quite an upgrade from the 16ft aluminum Tracker I fished out of for the last year!

Kinda Purdy Rob!

The hull design sort of looks like the old Cobra (or Hawk). Is it, by chance? (just curious).

Enjoy the new ride Rob!

Good Fishing!

PS: Don't ever stay parked under that tree for very long. Them big old nasty birds will do a number on your boat and truck - a BIG number! (YUCK!).

I believe that is correct. I heard that John Storie (or something like that) designs the Legend boats now. Notice how it looks exactly like the 98 Hawk?
Excellent ride and great fishability, fantastic hull.

Yes Doug, the current Legend boat is the same Cobra, Hawk,Viper, Fisher molds recycled for another round that were designed by my father-in-law, John Storie. John has been out of the bass boat business since Hawk went under in 2001. He is now in Florida building center console saltwater boats. Rick G.
Anglers Marine has been serving Southern California boaters and fishermen since 1981, with the West's largest bass fishing tackle store and the best boat dealership on the west coast.

I thought so. My central partner has a "98" 21 foot Hawk with the 225 HO American Flag "RUDE" on it. One would think that Cadilac built it as it rides so smooth at 75 mph.
