Does he have his fist in the fish's mouth? If so, I'm not sure if thats good practice or not, it doesn't look good to me. Great catch but I'd rather see your hand out of the fish's mouth, it just doesn't look right with your fist in it's mouth.

I think the guy was tying to show just how big the fish was. We lip 'em all the time and as far as you can tell the hand is in the mouth but not touching at all, it certainly isn't touching up top, hahaha.

When you go in after hooks that were taken all the way to the gullet don't you sometimes wind up with your fist in the fishes mouth. And if you get the hook out don't you then attempt to release the fish anyway?

These fish eat a fair amount of nasty stuff during their lifetime so I'm not sure that this is all that bad.

I'd also note that it was big guy that caught the fish and by doing what he did he certainly made it clear how big that derned fish was to be sure.

kinda looks to me like he is holding it on the far side with just his fingers in her mouth so as not to block any of the fish. I gotta say I'd much rather see someone with their fist in a bass' mouth than holding them thru the gills!

That's one of those foam things to keep your drink cold from BPS [ supposed to look like a bass ] , sometimes your beer slips all the way down in there . It looks like he's performing the deep retrieval maneuver as per instructions !

I don't see the harm in it . Many times on a big fish My fist goes in and out of the mouth with out really touching a thing LOL!
