Do you mean your two-stroke oil reservoir? I can't think of WHY you would do it for the life of me. Tell us more.

Well, hopefully you check it regularly and keep it full... it is the two-stroke oil that is mixed with the gasonline as your engine runs, if I'm not mistaken. It will consume that oil as it needs, so you need to be sure you keep your tank full with the right type of oil for your motor.

There should be no reason to have to drain it, unless it has gotten contaminated in some manner.

Hope this helps...

If your boat sits too long without using it, the oil will gum up, so yes you will have to clean it out and put fresh oil.

I suppose if you must you take the container out and go to Kragens or somplace and pour it in with the recycled oil ...You might want to call the service department of a reputable marine dealer and ask your question. Try Anglers Marine as it has been my experience that they are never to busy to answer a question.
