Bass-a-thon question
Bass-a-thon question
Hey Rick,
In Western outdoor news it mentions that the boat give away will be done in a "Deal or No Deal" format. How are the participants going to be choosen in order to play the game? Curious if everyone will have a chance or will a few be choosen first then they will be in the "Deal or No Deal" part.
Looking forward to this weekend!

As in any Anglers Marine boat give-away, there is always opportunity for anyone to win the boat. Just because your name is not picked do not leave the room. See you there. Rick G.
Anglers Marine has been serving Southern California boaters and fishermen since 1981, with the West's largest bass fishing tackle store and the best boat dealership on the west coast.

Rick,
I think the question is, how do we get the tickets to be drawn.

Re: Bass-a-thon question
I can't speak for Rick and crew but last time I was there I believe the tickets were drawn for participants based on the number of times they went to the cash register during the event. Every time someone made a purchase they got another ticket into the draw for the contest for the boat. At that point a lot of folks ended up taking those people's places on the stage before all was settled and done. Also, if you're interested in that draw boat it's usually a good idea to bring some cash with you because the guy that wins it usually ends up putting it up to auction to the highest bidder if they don't intend to keep it. It's a great way to get a fantastic boat at and awesome price and the guy that won the boat has the opportunity to walk away with some serious cash in his wallet.
Disclaimer: I have no idea if this is anywhere near how Rick intends to run the contest this year but in year's past he's made it very enjoyable for all and a lot of folks got to participate in many ways before the boat was actually awarded.

Re: Bass-a-thon question
from the Canyon Plastics booth, you will see our new worm....it is called "Skin and Bones"....it is a finesse type of zipper worm...we will eventually have 12 colors, I think we will have 6 at the show...they come in 4in and 6in.....if you are not familiar with Canyon Plastics, we are the originator of the "gitzit" (Bobby and Gary Garland) or more generically called the "tube".....

Re: Bass-a-thon question
No Sweat Mist will be there for the first time. We have three wonderful products. First we have our Quick Spray Shine Enhancer with is a portectant polish minus the cleaner. So this product is safe to use daily and will give your boat UV protection without removal of the outer finish.
Then there is the Boat Buff Marine Polish. This is our one product that has some abrasive that is sufficient to clean off minor oxidation, grime and stains, but not enough to cause wear if used 2 to 3 times per year. This product last 4 times longer than waxes. Because it has PTEF which actually bonds to treated areas without heat.
And last but not least we have our Hard on H20 Spot Remover. This product safely lift the water spots off and allow it to be rinsed away. Hard On H20 does not sonctain any abrasives so it can be used regularly with no damage to the surface.
These are the new products to look for at the Bass-A-Thon.
Oh and how could I forget the Misty Girls will be there to help tell you more about them and get your pictures as well...
Look forward to seeing you all there.

Re: Bass-a-thon question
There will be many new products at this show. Usually Western Outdoor News is the best place to find a listing of what's going on, who'll be there and breakdown on new product as well as special pricing on boats and what not.
Hopefully Rick will have a moment to update this thread with more information.

Re: Bass-a-thon question
As far as the tickets go, everyone that comes thru the door will get a ticket at the ABA booth. The rest of the tickets are at the cash registers and are dished out with your purchases. Most if not all of the Mfg's at our show have new product to introduce and alot of vendors keep them under wraps untill showtime. Robo, Huddleston, Jackall, Markey, and Luckycraft are just a few who are going to have exciting new products. Remember that the show is not just about the big guys, it is the smaller local vendors that make up what wins most western tournaments. Those folks always have cool new stuff. See you there. Rick G.

Misty's
I was hoping the Misty's would be bringing some of the automotive wax also? I can save some shipping charges if it's there if not I will order some. Best stuff around and I've used a few products in my day.

Re: Bass-a-thon question - Stealth Charger
The Stealth Charger, a DC charger that runs off of your big motor to charge your trolling motor batteries every time you run.
Additionally, the system can be set up with a Tow Package that is connected to your main truck battery/alternator. As you drive, your boat batteries will charge.
It is an awesome system and Kevin Van Dam will be talking about it!
Come visit my booth (Rogue/Stealth) to see this new product.
