Just moved to Shingle Springs from CH. Heard there are some handsome smallmouth and spots in Jenkins Lake. Some tips for all seasons would be appreciated. Open backseats possible if you know the lake.
Looking for a handout,

I used to live in Tahoe and fished this lake regularly for smallies. It has been years (fifteen at least) since I fished it but my buddy and I used to do real well there with Kalin's 5" single tail grubs in chartreuse/pepper or salt/pepper on a darter head tail pointing down. Cast to the shore in the narrows near the ramp and work them down the bank to deeper water SLOWLY. There used to be some good stumps to the right of the ramp, maybe 20 feet away. They were in 3-15 feet of water depending on how full the lake was.
Hope this helps.

Drop shot Robo Worm Morning Dawn 4" worms or Pro Worm Morning Dawn works well. Chartruose and White or all White spinner bait. Top water poppers as sun is coming up and going down all the way into the night. North end in the 5MPH zone has been the best for me. I have only fished the lake in the lake from May to Sept.
