Another suggestion is the Cabela's Signature series, they are about 100 bucks each for Parka/Bibs. I wore these all last year and seriously field tested them in a tourney were we got dumped on all day, never got wet and was warm. I wear jeans and long sleeve shirt under mine for those cold days....Pretty good for the money...

I have had the guidewear for almost 10 years with absolutely no wear or tear.....I have the unisulated and love it.....I have fished in 30 degree temp or lower with shorts on underneath and never had a problem.......I think with a pair of jeans and the guidewear, you would be plenty warm.......being sponsored by Bass Pro, I can get a great deal on their 100mph stuff, but like I said, there is nothing wrong with my guidewear, I bought it before my sponsorship....the best $200 I have ever spent.....I am 6'2" and 260, I wear a 40" pant and most of my shirts are XXL, so I went with the XXL in the guidwear as well...I hope this helps......and yes, get if for your wife too, she will love it....oh, and nice screen name...I have the exact same boat!!!! :D

I have the insulated, and it's a little hot sometimes later in the year, like say April on. I am probably going to get the uninsulated also to wear when I don't neat the warmth. If you're going with one, go with the uninsulated. Oh and definately go with the Guidewear over the Signature. I used to scimp on raingear, and was sorry for it after about two seasons with it. Pay the money once, get the best (Guidewear), and be happy. Maybe I should try being a little more FREE under mine like Bones. Damn, I hope he doesn't lone his out to someone unknowing that his junk has been rubbing all up on the back side of that zipper!!!! DOOOO!!!

Bass Pro's HPR Gore-Tex Parka and Bibs uninsulated works great for me. (4 years so far)I fish the same areas as you and even in complete down pours and running wide open I have not got wet. Very warm for being uninsulated. The most that I have worn under these are A light jacket and pants. I wear shorts under them most of the time. Don't forget good waterproof footwear also.

Good luck, Terry

Guidewear Uninsulated Pants and Jacket
Seal Skinz Socks and Gloves
Seirus Hood (for ears, neck, and head)
Gordini Goggles

protects me from that cold 70mph run across the lake or down the river in December.

Use a catheter...

I guess you haven't tried catheters yet. The trick is to use a low adhesive tape to secure the pee bag to your leg--the stickier the tape the more it hurts when you remove it after fishing (only if you have hairy legs, that is).

An added benefit is that it provides an extra bit of warmth on those really, really cold days. If you see me smiling when reeling in a fish on a chilly winter day it's because I'm peeing myself.

It may feel uncomfortable at first but like recessed trolling motor pans, once you try wearing one you won't ever fish without them ever again.

Multi-Purpose Use

Back on a serious note. I use the uninsulated guidewear for both fishing and golf. Great product! Highly recommend it.

Another vote for unisulated guidewear. This stuff is bullet proof and will last a long time. I just wear a pair of sweats and a sweatshirt underneath mine and I am fine in the short winter that we do have.

was going to go with the Guidewear insulated bibs ( but NOT going commando underneath...) with the uninsulated jacket so I could layer up on the topside for warmth adjustment

Brent, Can I get your deal on the 100MPH set if you don't need them, I need XXL IN the Blue
